Past - If you have been waiting for a report on the Pioneer Day at Jack's, here it is.  I apologize for the lateness of it.  I left on a road trip the next day and now am getting caught up.  I wasn't in attendance but I hear it was a great day.  Some say the attendance was the best yet.  A new attraction was facing painting.  Glenda Hewalo & her sister created all kind of faces on the children, as you will see in the photo gallery.  Thank you to Michelle Banga & Theresa Banga for providing photos of the day.  Eleven teams competed.  Winners were - Light weight - Ryan Ewen; Middle weight  - Randy Banga; Heavy weight - Ron Sebastian.  Each winner received a very stylist plaque provided by Jack.  Thank you to all who helped make the day a success and to all who attended.

Present - September 30th & October 1st, five teamsters traveled to Kindersley to compete in a two-day horse pull.  Friday night was cool but the competition both days was hot.  Eleven teamsters competed.  The winners were - Light weight - Ryan Ewen; Middle weight - Kim Hewalo; Heavy weight Ron Sebastian.

Future - The next competition is in Yorkton October 30th & 31st.  Wonder if it will be a costume pull?  Some of the teamster will been competing in Edmonton at the same time. Then in November, Agribition is the final pull of the season.  The competition begins Wednesday November 13th at 10:00.  Here is the link

Hope you have a 2014 calendar already, as the QVHPC has a booking for next year already.  July 12 & 13th will see the club competing at the Wood Mountain Stampede.  Another link.

Til next time
